Why should I become a member of NAfME?Membership provides you with several opportunities and advantages, networking opportunities, free or reduced registration costs at conferences, subscriptions to Music Educators Journal and Teaching Music, and an addition to your resume!
What does it cost? The national dues for NAfME membership cost $37 dollars per year ($30 for national dues and $7 for the state of Illinois).
Our chapter normally charges $5 in dues. This semester (Spring 2021), we are not charging any chapter dues! |
Why should I become a member of EIU's NAfME Collegiate?NAfME is the national level of our organization, but our collegiate chapter gives you localized opportunities tailored to your needs as a student. As your organization, we want to help you excel in your field, whether it be choir, band, orchestra, or elementary music. Throughout the year, we offer events to help you learn more about specific subjects—especially those that might be out of your area of expertise—and we also strive to offer activities and experiences to build professional networks. By joining our chapter, you are surrounding yourself with peers and future colleagues that can help you get even more out of your college experience.
